My father-in-law spent S$9.90 to get this tiny little metal thingy just to hold the lock to the gate. He was hoping that this will bring more conveniences to all of us as we no longer need to hold on to the lock when we open the gate...Poor FIL, his wife and sons were not supportive of his idea at all! He ended up removing the 'gadget' just to please all at home (I simply kept my mouth shut :P)... Sorry Dad!
